Dr. Zoland delivered a lecture outlining one of the many sources of groin and pelvic pain as occult hernias exist and should not be overlooked by medical professionals and patients. He presented algorithms he has developed to assess patients for hernias as well as other pain generators he sees in his practice.
February 26, 2020 / My approach to the management of core muscle injury/sports hernia / NFL Combine Annual Scientific Meeting
Dr. Zoland presented to the NFL Physicians Society during the NFL Combine. Subsequently he participated in a panel discussion during which he fielded questions from NFL Team physicians, trainers, and support staff, outlining his approach and experience with these injuries in high-performance athletes, and the current data in the field.
September 21, 2019 / Athletic Pubalgia/Sports Hernia in the Soccer Population / AOSSM State of the Art Soccer Medicine
Dr. Zoland joined experts to discuss medical and surgical treatment issues as well as concepts to improve performance and prevent injury, across ages, level of play, and gender. A panel discussion followed with experts and staff involved with MLS and other health professionals involved with soccer at all levels.

Mark Zoland was part of an all-star panel of presenters to high-level athletic medical personnel including MLB team physicians and allied professionals.
August 2, 2018 / Groin Pain Assessment and Sports Hernia / NBA Player’s Association Medical Symposium
Dr. Zoland presented at the NBA annual medical sports medicine conference in the new NBAPA office in New York City. Additionally, he participated in an expert panel discussion for NBA team physicians and medical staff.
May 10, 2018 / Lecture and Panel Discussion: Athletic Pubalgia
Dr. Zoland will provide a lecture covering surgical indications for Athletic Pubalgia Surgery, and current concepts related to Athletic Pubalgia, Sports Hernia, and Adductor Longus Tendonopathy. He will then take part in a panel discussion involving several prominent experts in the field.
January 31, 2017 / Nicholas Institute for Sports Medicine Fellowship Lecture
The Nicholas Institute for Sports Medicine and Athletic Trauma was founded in 1973 by the brilliant pioneer in sports medicine, Dr. James A. Nicholas. It has since be a leading training center for sports medicine and physical therapy. Dr. Zoland will be lecturing to the Sports Fellowship regarding Groin Pain and Athletic Pubalgia.

Dr. Mark Zoland presented the history, diagnosis, and treatment to the annual assembly conference. The discussion included A panel of specialists regarding non-operative and operative treatment of groin and hip disorders. A question and answer session followed. The information was well received and supplemented by multiple specialists in the field.

A panel of distinguished speakers including doctors Kelly, Buly, Mintz, Wilk, and Zoland discussed hip salvage surgical techniques. Dr. Zoland specifically spoke about athletic pubalgia in the setting of concomitant femoral acetabular impingement. The conference panel was extraordinarily well received. A question and answer session followed which capped off a successful panel.
